Adult Volunteers

We accept adult volunteers for a variety of events and for Teen Court itself. Adult volunteers help by supervising youth, set up of the courtroom, moderating jury duty discussion and on occassion facilitating a group activity.

What your shifts would look like...
Pick a location! We have court in Hilo, Waimea and Kona
Hilo-Every Wednesday from 4pm-7pm
Kona/Waimea-Alternating Mondays from 430pm-630pm
There are a variety ways that adults can help out Teen Court! We have positions for adults who have lots of time (such as part time adult facilitators) and spots for folks who have a small amount of time ( such as shifts at annual events) We can always use guest speakers or adults who have a trade/story/or activity to share. Please look over our Adult Volunteer Application.
I have some time on my hands each month...
I might have some time off, but only like once or twice a year
Please take a look at our projects page or donation page. We have annual projects such as food drives that we can use some additional help with. There are continous projects and once a year projects that you can help out with!
I have something to share
We can designate a time for you to come in and speak with our youth. We really appreciate any adult who has experience in the legal system, such as a police officer, retired attorney etc. But we have noticed lots of our youth lacking some necessary life skills; If you can teach them how to sew, how to change a tire or cook food we would also appreciate that!
